What is Cinelow?
Cinelow is meant to be a completely objective movie rating site, free of abstract voting systems.
All scores on the site is based on the outcome of users playing the "compare game".
A user gets two movies to pick from and is supposed to choose the one they find to be better.
It is completely up to them what "better" means, but if hovering the (?) symbol they will be able to see which attributes the two movies share.
The idea is that comparing two movies together is less abstract than rating a single movie from 1-10, and the combination of all comparisons should add up to a more accurate rating and toplist. After every comparison the scores are updated using a ELO algorythm, the same as are used to determine the ranks of competetive chess players.
